Dana Wilson, District Manager

With 13 years under her belt with ChampionX, Dana Wilson has risen through the ranks to become a District Manager in the UK sales team, an achievement highlighted by her recent recognition as a League of Champions honoree, which is the highest internal accolade for ChampionX Chemical Technologies. With  strong field application experience and a passion for talent development, Dana’s leadership continues to make a lasting impact within the company and with customers.

Her journey with us began in 2012 after earning her MSc in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow. Starting as a Technical Support Engineer, she gained invaluable hands-on field experience before transitioning into account management in 2017. Over the years, she has steadily climbed the ranks, taking on increasing responsibilities, first as an Area Manager and now as a District Manager, where she oversees multiple customers for ChampionX’s UK business.

In her current role, Dana balances commercial strategy with team leadership, managing contracts, financial performance, and customer relationships. “No two days are ever the same,” she shared. “I love the variety, the problem-solving, and working with a fantastic multi-disciplined team. My job is about driving business growth while mentoring the next generation of sales professionals.”

Beyond her chemical products and services sales leadership, Dana has been a dedicated advocate for diversity and inclusion as the Co-lead of the RISE Europe & Caspian chapter, ChampionX’s Employee Resource Group focused on gender equity. Over the past five years, she has played a key role in encouraging conversations and implementing initiatives around allyship, workplace inclusivity, and professional development for women in STEM.

Her work also extends to customer engagements. She believes that building an inclusive environment isn’t just good for employees, it’s good for business, driving innovation and stronger partnerships across the sector. “D&I isn’t just an internal focus; it’s a discussion we bring to our clients, encouraging industry-wide collaboration and learning.”

Joining the League of Champions is a testament to Dana’s dedication and impact. “I’ve always put my all into every role, and this award is not just about me, it’s about the incredible team I work with. Success is never achieved alone.”

As we celebrate International Women’s Day this month, Dana’s story serves as an inspiration for females aspiring to leadership roles in the chemicals sector. Her advice? “Believe in yourself, seek mentors, and stay open to opportunities - you never know where your career might take you.”
