Dave Marlow, Chemical Technologies Regional Sales Manager, Scandinavia & Continental Europe

Dave Marlow is approaching his twentieth anniversary with ChampionX, and in that time has grown and thrived in his varied roles, from research and development to his current role as the Chemical Technologies Regional Sales Manager for Scandinavia and Continental Europe. Dave and his team will represent ChampionX at the upcoming Offshore Northern Seas (ONS), a conference held every two years in Norway to promote collaboration on energy, technology, and innovation as the industry focuses on the energy transition. Our conference presence will highlight ChampionX’s Extended Release (XR) portfolio, which merges nanotechnology with existing ChampionX scale management products.

“This XR nanoparticle-enabled platform technology is game changing,” Dave said in a recent interview. “It’s the first time we’ve formulated nanoparticles and scale squeeze inhibitor chemistry into a field-deployable treatment.” The XR platform has been proven in the field to result in scale squeeze treatments lasting three times longer, which significantly increases time between treatments and reduces chemical handling, manufacturing, and shipping—enabling operators to meet emissions goals while increasing operational efficiency.  

Under his direction, Dave’s team of thirty-four employees, from fifteen different nationalities, help to address customer problems with the latest ChampionX chemistry solutions, often embedded as part of the operations team within customers’ facilities. “The benefits of a diverse, inclusive team are obvious to me”, says Dave. “Having people look at problems from different perspectives and utilizing the experiences they’ve gained in other parts of the world and walks of life help identify better solutions and drive better results.”
