Geeta Rana, Senior Staff Scientist – Midstream
With 15 years under her belt as part of ChampionX’s Research, Development and Engineering (RD&E) division, senior staff scientist Geeta Rana is a team-oriented leader who encourages ongoing knowledge sharing across her department, the wider business, and with customers to successfully deliver the most effective and sustainable solutions possible.
An Association for Materials Protection and Performance (AMPP) member, Geeta has helped ChampionX develop many innovative technologies, including a multi-functional anti-agglomerant and corrosion inhibition product, a high-temperature stable hydrogen sulphide (H2S) scavenger, and a corrosion inhibitor with an improved environmental profile.
“Through these opportunities, I’ve developed and improved my skills to understand and create technologies that make a difference to producers and the future of the industry,” Geeta said. “When the stakes are raised, it motivates me, and I’m always enthusiastic to deliver results.”
Next, Geeta will present on the development of our new, innovative oxygen corrosion inhibitor at the Middle East Corrosion Conference in the Kingdom of Bahrain (organized by AMMP Dharan Saudi Arabia Chapter and the Bahrain Society of Engineers).
“Our latest corrosion inhibitor is extremely exciting for customers, as it allows corrosion protection even in elevated levels of oxygen,” Geeta said. “In a recent field trial utilizing the technology, the product showed superior corrosion protection performance against both CO2 and H2S in the presence of oxygen.”
