Julie Fidoe, Production Chemistry Marketing Director
As a company with a global presence and thousands of employees, we at ChampionX understand the toll that natural disasters can have on families, communities, and businesses. When the unavoidable happens, we strive to provide our employees and their direct communities the complete support they need to recover.
Julie Fidoe, a marketing director for production chemistry and chemical technologies, has had a storied career with ChampionX. Besides relocating from Aberdeen, Scotland to Fresno, California and then to Sugar Land, Texas, Julie and her family were affected by Hurricane Harvey when the storm hit the Texas coast. We mobilized resources and people to provide any and all forms of support they could need, including groceries, water, power, and contractors to support their home’s stabilization and restoration. “The way I would describe it,” said Julie, “is the ChampionX family literally showed up on my doorstep.”
Since that experience, Julie has found ways to give back to the ChampionX community that helped her. Today, she serves as co-lead of one of our most popular Employee Resource Groups, RISE, which is dedicated to promoting gender equality in the workplace and in the communities where we work and live.
Every company has to find ways to support its employees. At ChampionX, we recognize that each of our people will face specific and unique challenges, and we are committed to helping however we can—whether that means developing policies regarding flexwork to support employees with families, supporting employees’ relocations, or providing aid in our communities during natural disasters.
