Polymer gel technology results in a CO2e reduction equivalent to removing 100 cars from the road
In one year, a ChampionX water shut off program designed for a well in the Lodgepole Formation, Manitoba, Canada, resulted in a CO2 equiv. reduction equivalent to removing 100 cars from the road.
Dual reverse emulsion breaker program saves SAGD commercial facility $600,000 per year
In order to meet produced water oil-in-water specifications, a customer in a SAGD commercial facility was spending increasing amounts on their water treatment program. See how our proprietary high temperature high pressure testing identified a reverse emulsion breaker program to cut costs.
H2S Scavenger reduces chemical usage and carbon footprint offshore
A mature North Sea asset had wells that were producing gas with an H2S concentration of up to 1400 ppm. The operator needed to meet a specification of 150 ppm H2S content, however, for gas lift purposes. ChampionX was asked to provide a chemical capable of achieving this, while also reducing chemical costs and achieving the highest environmental rating.
Revamped corrosion program cuts costs and downtime in coalbed methane field
An operator in a coalbed methane field began to see very aggressive CO2 corrosion in the tubing string of a well and failure rates as high as 1.7 every year. Each failure was costing anywhere between $25-30K USD. ChampionX was asked to look at the situation and recommend a program that would help alleviate the problem.
Reverse emulsion breaker improves quality of produced water in a mature Brazilian field
A mature offshore platform 80 km away from the coast of Brazil had been producing for over 30 years. To mitigate the overboard discharge requirement, the OIW needed to be reduced to improve the quality of produced water and minimize environmental impact.
