ChampionX Announces New XSPOC 3.2.2 Software Release
Extend optimization capabilities to all aspects of the wellsite
THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS (December 1, 2022) — ChampionX announced today the latest release of its XSPOCTM production optimization software, XSPOC 3.2.2. This release expands the software’s core artificial lift capabilities to include wellsite surveillance and chemical optimization.
Continuing to build on autonomous control features previously introduced for rod lift and gas lift, the XSPOC software now offers autonomous control for chemical injection. This new capability allows users to proportionally control chemical injection rates based on standard parameters already being tracked in the software, such as production rates, temperature, load, shutdown conditions and more.
“It’s important to make sure we are leveraging data to its fullest potential,” said Neha Sahdev, ChampionX Theta production optimization vice president. “For example, if we are already gathering production data, why not use it to not only monitor and optimize artificial lift, but also improve chemical injection performance?” The software also allows users to set up customized alarms, such as alerting personnel that tanks are running low, as well as view historical trend data ‒ all from a single software platform.
In addition, the XSPOC software now offers a SnapShot advanced classification photo gallery, an economical solution for remote visual surveillance. “Whether the goal is helping to meet regulatory requirements, alleviate security concerns, or mitigate HSE risks, our customers want a practical way to keep eyes on their assets,” Sahdev said. “This new benefit provides the flexibility to use multiple types of cameras and doesn’t restrict how many photos they can take.” The photo gallery provides a holistic view to review, flag and comment on photos for quick and efficient surveillance checks without having to dispatch personnel to the field.
