ChampionX introduces advanced digital control system for plunger lift wells
THE WOODLANDS, Texas, September 12, 2024 -- ChampionX Corporation (“ChampionX” or the “Company”) announced today the release of its SMARTENTM Unify control system, an advanced automation and optimization solution for plunger lift wells.
Unify is a new-generation digital platform, and is the first plunger lift controller in the ChampionX SMARTEN automation product family. It fills a technology void between full-function SCADA controllers and limited-function standalone devices, and harnesses the latest AI, IoT, and wireless technologies for edge device automated operations and “live” visibility into plunger cycle behaviors via high-frequency data captured at one-second intervals.

The SMARTEN Unify control system is engineered with turnkey simplicity to seamlessly integrate into existing IT and SCADA architectures and its low cost of ownership reshapes the digital adoption curve for the economic realities of tight-margin plunger lift wells.
