Two-piece bypass plungers
PCS Ferguson’s First Responder two-piece plunger can reduce or eliminate shut-in times, while maximizing production. This plunger makes more trips with faster fall times, delivering continuous fluid removal. It often helps wells achieve a significant increase in daily production.
Advantages
- Reduces wireline expenses with controlled fall speeds
- Delivers optimal production with little or no shut-in time
- Accommodates a wide range of production rates with multiple configurations
- Available in padded and bar stock options
Friction bypass plungers
Our friction bypass plungers make more trips with faster fall times, delivering continuous fluid removal with little or no shut-in time. The plunger opens and closes an adjustable bypass valve, enabling it to fall against flow so that the well can continue to produce as the plunger works.
Advantages
- Maximize the life of the plunger and bumper spring and reduce wireline expenses with controlled fall speeds
- Delivers optimal production with little or no shut-in time
- Ensures dependable performance with engineered one-piece design
- Accommodates a range of production rates with multiple designs and configurations
- Available in padded and bar stock options
Available sizes
2 3/8 ” | 2 7/8”
Sliding sleeve bypass plungers
The sliding sleeve bypass plunger makes more trips with faster fall times, delivering continuous fluid removal with little or no shut-in time.
Advantages
- Maximize the life of the plunger and bumper spring with controlled fall speeds
- Delivers optimal production with little or no shut-in time
- Ensures dependable performance with engineered one-piece design
- Available in padded and bar stock options
Available sizes
2 3/8 ” | 2 7/8”
Super flow plungers
The Super Flow plunger from PCS Ferguson makes more trips with faster fall times, delivering continuous fluid removal with little or no shut-in time. The plunger uses a standard lubricator assembly and standard downhole equipment.
Advantages
- Simplifies operations with one-piece design
- Controls fall speed by adjusting flow ports
- Creates “turbulent” seal with external grooves
Available sizes
2 3/8 ” | 2 7/8”
Liquid aeration plungers
The liquid aeration plunger (LAP) can reduce fall times up to 70% and increase production by at least one cycle per day. It's also helpful for wells that produce high accumulations of liquids or heavy liquids.
Advantages
- Reduces shut-in time
- Decreases fall times and increases trips
- Increases production by at least one cycle per day
- Available in padded and bar stock options
Available sizes
2 3/8 ” | 2 7/8”
Solid plungers
Heavy solid plungers with grooves can cut through paraffin, sand, or salt to enable faster fall times. The grooves are also designed to trap and remove gas in high-gas volume wells.
Advantages
- Faster fall times
- Greater durability
- Lower cost and maintenance with one-piece design
Available sizes
1 1/4” | 1 1/2” | 2 1/16”
2 3/8 ” | 2 7/8”
Sand plungers
In wells producing sand, salt, or coal fines where standard plungers have gotten stuck, our sand plungers can optimize your operations. The plungers travel in the well tubing when other plungers get bogged down or stop. Sand plungers are self-cleaning, allowing gas to flow through the plunger and clean sand out of the plunger grooves.
Advantages
- Self cleaning
- Heavy durability
- Economical one-piece design
- Low maintenance
Available sizes
2 1/8” | 2 3/8” | 2 7/8”
Pad plungers
Our pad plungers maintain a tight, consistent seal against the tubing wall to reduce or eliminate liquid fallback. With multiple pad options, our patented designs are highly durable and long-lasting.
Advantages
- Most effective for lifting liquids
- Patented locking system
- One to three spring-loaded pad sections
Available sizes
1 1/2” | 2 1/16”-in. | 2 3/8” | 2 7/8” | 3 1/2”
Beau-flex plungers
Beau-flex plungers are effective in weaker wells where plunger performance is marginal or where plungers have not previously proven successful.
Advantages
- Eliminates gas slippage with advanced seal system
- Provides excellent sealing characteristics
- Maintains “flex” design
Available sizes
1 1/2” | 2 1/16” | 2 3/8” | 2 7/8”
Brush plungers
Brush plungers are ideal for removing sand, salt, and coal fines. The plunger's middle section is covered with a flexible nylon brush that allows the plunger to travel in the tubing despite foreign materials.
Advantages
- Highly effective seal
- Extremely durable
Available sizes
1 – 1/4” | 1 1/2” | 2 1/16”
2 3/8” | 2 7/8” | 3 1/2”
Shock absorber plungers
Our shock absorber plungers have a built-in bumper spring, allowing them to run directly off the seating nipple or standing valve. This design reduces downhole restrictions to allow more flow by.
Advantages
- Reduces costs for chemical treatments or wireline interventions
- Seals effectively
- Prevents damage to seating nipple
Available sizes
2 3/8”
