SurFlo Chemical Qualification

Product performance you can trust

Product safety, integrity, and governance are vitally important to us at ChampionX, and risk mitigation is at the center of what we do. We ensure all our production chemicals are suitable for delivery without compromising the integrity of the injection system. These solutions undergo some of the industry's most rigorous testing methods, which replicate the journey in offshore and onshore applications from manufacturing to logistics, storage, and delivery.

SurFlo Umbilical Chemical Qualification

Backed by unparalleled experience and expertise, ChampionX provides one of the industry’s most stringent umbilical qualification processes for subsea chemicals, SurFlo® Enhanced. Ensuring our products are qualified for umbilicals reduces risk to operators, ensures safe operations, and maintains compliance.

Our advanced testing raises the standard for accurate assessment and effectively simulates the most extreme conditions, from the reactor through the umbilical. SurFlo Enhanced testing methods often exceed the industry standards noted in API 17TR6, qualifying products to 35°F to account for ultradeep conditions.

SurFlo Gas Lift Qualification

Even the best designed gas lift system can be negatively impacted by corrosion, paraffin, scale, and organic solids. Corrosive fluids and gases can degrade tool and tubular integrity, allowing the influx of injected gas at points other than the valves. Paraffin and scale inside valves and tubulars restrict flow.

Using SurFlo® gas lift-qualified chemical packages is a ChampionX best operational practice for wells on gas lift. Qualification includes rigorous laboratory and field testing to ensure compatibility under simulated pressure, temperature, and reservoir fluid conditions to maximize chemical effectiveness and reduce the risk of corrosion, scale, and paraffin-related failures.
